On December 8th, IMPROVER partners gathered to present and report on our living lab pilot implementation program. This time we addressed the crucial project research and goals for our areas of interest: indicators, organisational resilience, technological resilience, and our pilot implementation in Barreiro PI. This was an important opportunity to look at our current research results and analyse them in the context of our future plans for the project.
Because IMPROVER partners are spread between so many different countries, we savor the opportunities to collectively brainstorm and assess the progress we’ve made, give one another input and share ideas.
Coming together always brings insight into the work we’ve accomplished and the goals that are guiding us forward. In January, we will be kicking off our first pilot implementation in the Municipality of Barreiro, which is an exciting step forward! A little bit about the project:
Barreiro is one for the municipalities of Lisbon. Our focus is their water supply system which is linked to all sectors of society, such as energy, transportation and telecom, as water is one of three basic survival needs (shelter, water, food). Barreiro covers a large area of land in the Tagus Bay Industrial Park, located right on Tagus river bank.
Look forward to more updates after we launch the Barreiro pilot implementation on January 29th, 2018. We will have the opportunity to share our results and see how our methodologies unfold in real-time!
